Web Design + Development

Modern websites that are easy to maintain.

Your website can make or break your business. A good one can generate sales, help you stand out in the marketplace, and reinforce your brand. A bad one can leave your customers confused and frustrated. But building a high-performing website can be intimidating. That’s where I come in! I build user-friendly websites that help you get found and look great across all devices.

Design Process

Here's how the whole thing works.

In our initial conversation, I’ll review your needs, project scope, and timeline so everyone’s on the same page. You’ll receive a proposal so you know exactly what to expect. After contracts are signed and a deposit is made, you will receive your first bit of homework in the form of a simple questionnaire that we’ll use to establish a strategy for your website.

During this 1-2 hour introductory Zoom call we will review your project outline and questionnaire. We’ll talk about big picture stuff like your target audience and small details like site navigation. After our call, I’ll produce a short strategy document that sums up all the great insight we gained from this session.
After you’ve signed off on the strategy, I’ll outline all the content I need from you to begin designing your website. I typically use Google Drive to keep all the copy and images organized.

After our creative kickoff, I’ll take our strategy document and produce wireframes of key pages and a stylistic moodboard. These tools play a big part in helping the design process run quickly and smoothly. Wireframes provide a blueprint for information hierarchy, navigation and structure, and layout design. The moodboard consists of fonts, colors and interface elements that communicate the essence of a visual brand.

Once our blueprint is approved, I will get to work developing a fully functional proof of your website. Up to 3 additional rounds of revisions are included. After all the strategic planning we’ve done, I find that 3 rounds of revisions is plenty for most clients. More rounds of revisions can be added for an extra fee. We will also test the site on various browsers and screen sizes.

Whether you purchase your domain directly through the hosting platform or from a third-party site, I can connect a custom domain. The platforms I build on offer great built-in tools to get your website in front of your audience. I can help you set it all up using your provided SEO keywords and social media account details.

After every button has been clicked and every form has been tested, it goes public! We can discuss best practices for announcing your new site during our final off-boarding meeting. I’ll walk you through all the basics of operating your new site in a 1-2 hour Zoom tutorial. The tutorial will be recorded for you to share with other employees.
After the final payment has been made, I’ll transfer site ownership to you. I can also provide a nicely organized folder with all the assets that were made for the site during the design process.

Every website is unique, but here’s a good place to start.

Development + Hosting

I offer website development on Webflow and Squarespace.

Each has benefits and limitations. Webflow offers nearly unlimited design flexibility with a power CMS. Squarespace is good for basic small static websites. After our introductory call, I can provide a recommendation of which platform I believe is the best fit for you.

Already have a developer?

No problem. I can package and hand off my designs to your developer of choice.

Regardless of the platform, the websites I develop are always:
